Ron Paul Speaks for Less Government
Dr Paul was introduced with his wife Carol and was presented with a commemorative painting. At first, he spoke without mike since the stage was not completely set up and mikes weren't ready, but the crowd wasn't having any of it and soon a mike was made live.

Dr. Paul spoke of getting back to having as a top goal: less government. He singled out few specific programs but did note the vast amounts of money that have been consumed in the Iraq misadventure as the kind of pull that leads to high taxation.
Dr. Paul urged the audience to push for devolving power to state governments and to consider how devolved power can include room for such a thing as a Lakotah Republic.
